Harbour constituency Assembly election 2006 had 1,05,115 electors of whom only 60,005 voted in the 2006 election at 101 voting centers for an average of 1040 electors per polling station.
K. Anbazhagan of DMK got 26,545 votes while Seema Basheer.H of ADMK got 26,135 votes. Chandra Prakasam C of DMDK got 4785 votes.

Pala Karupiah of ADMK won with 53,920 votes while Altaf Hussain of DMk got 33,603 votes.
K.S Seenivasan is the candidate of the ADMK for the 2016 elections. P.K Sekar Babu of the DMK is the rival contestant.
